Color Splash: PINK

Today the color of the day is PINK!

I know, it's a girly color but pink can also be a fun and energetic color. Personally I specially love fuchsia pink! 

Pink can be match different interiors styles, it can be very flashy and graphic or soft and feminine. So witch one do you prefer?

I find the pink vinyl kitchen floor so cute but my personal favorite is definitely the flamingo wallpaper by Cole & Son.

I also adore the SMEG fridge (I would love to one day have one of my one) I must say that this kitchen has a cool retro vibe that I just love.

"I have to say that I have a weird obsession with flamingo...and a couple of other exotic birds like the peacock and the toucan... Notice how the pink is establish by little drops against the white neutral base, that what's make this interiors seems so light and aery.

There is mixing and matching of different furniture throughout this apartment. We can see contemporary furniture like the white sofa mix with a bit vintage like the black chair and lamp on the living room area and the Moroccan table on the balcony or the hot pink classic dresser on the bedroom.

This a small apartment but the trick to this successful design is in not overloading the space with lots of furniture and keep the base neutral like white walls and floors (and some furniture) it will make the space feel larger.

Color Splash: YELLOW

Today I Love YELLOW! Here in Portugal the spring sunshine is finally coming out, hey :) 

After quite a lot of long rainy days, it seems that finally I will be to go the beach to enjoy a bit of sun...

Aujourd'hui j'aime le JAUNE! Ici au Portugal on dirait que le soleil de printemps fait finalement son apparition, hey :) 
Après beaucoup de jours de pluie, il me semble que je vais finalement pouvoir aller á la plage pour profiter un peu de beau soleil...

Hoje eu amo o AMARELO! Aqui em Portugal parece que o sol da primavera finalmente pareceu, hey :)
Depois de muitos dias de chuva parece que vou poder finalmente ir dar um saltinho a praia para aproveitar um pouco deste nosso sol maravilhoso...

I specially love interiors with a white base and pops of bright sunny colors. 

This fuchsia and yellow association on a white back round is quite uplifting, don't you think?

J'aime spécialement les intérieurs qui ont les couleurs vives sur une base blanche.

Cette association de fuchsia et jaune sur un fond blanc rend cet espace très gai, vous ne trouvez pas?

Gosto especialmente de interior com uma base branca e apontamentos de cores fortes e alegres.

Esta conjugação de fúchsia e amarelo sobre um fundo branco resulta muito bem e é bastante energisante, não acham?

I just love this yellow patchwork on this shelving! 

I think it's a great, inexpensive and original way to customize a basic shelves that anyone can make with wallpaper or fabric, or both...the trick is to play with different patterns but keep all samples on the same color palette.

J'adore ce patchwork jaune sur cette étagère!

Je trouve que c'est une façon originale et économique de personnaliser une étagère basic que tout le monde peut le faire! il suffit juste de coller du papier peint ou du tissu ou les deux... le truc c'est de jouer avec plusieurs dessins mais en gardant la même palette de couleurs.

Acho que é uma maneira económica e sobretudo original de personalizar uma estante básica. Para isso basta colar no fundo papel de parede ou tecido ou uma conjugação das duas coisas... 

O truque é de brincar com padrões diferentes mas mantendo a mesma paleta cromática.

Others yellow accents mix with great patterns:

Yellow and Grey always works very well, I love this yellow couch agains this grey wall, all the fun accessories like love the black stool and grey rug.

Le jaune et le gris sont deux couleurs qui vont toujours bien ensemble. J'aime bien ce sofa jaune qui contraste sur le mur gris et tous les accessoires comme le banc noir laqué et le tapis gris.

Amarelo e cinza são duas cores que funcionam sempre bem. 

Gosto particularmente deste ambiente com o sofá amarelo que contrasta com a parede cinza e todos os acessórios que dão vida como o banco preto lacado e o tapete com padrão cinza. 

Buttery yellow also is nice...

Le jaune clair marche aussi trés bien...

O amarelo claro em tons mais claros também resulta bem...

One of my favorite rooms is the kitchen, it's the heart of the house.

I just love this bright yellow kitchen, the white and black make it so fun.

Ma pièce préférée c'est la cuisine, c'est le coeur de toute maison.

J'adore cette cuisine jaune rempli de peps grâce aux touches de noir et blanc. 

A minha divisão preferida é sem dúvida a cozinha porque acho que é o coração de qualquer casa.

Gosto muito desta cozinha amarela (do IKEA) cheia de energia, os toques gráficos de preto e branco dão-lhe toda a graça.

In theory a yellow kitchen can seems like a risky idea but here are a few great examples that proves that bright yellow can also work well in kitchen cabinets.
